Park City Engagements in the Fall

Marky & Andrew were in town for a work trip and decided last minute that they wanted to get their engagement photos done while in Utah! They’re from Houston where they don’t have mountains so it was the perfect opportunity. They both love the mountains and said they would love to move out to Utah but can’t because of work. So they’ll just have to settle for traveling out here every so often! I’m so glad we were able to get this beautiful mountain view in Park City and even got some fall colors before they all disappeared! When I first met Marky and Andrew, they were so easygoing and full of laughter. You could just tell how much they adored each other within the first few minutes. They showed up ready for an adventure, and honestly, that’s all you need when you’re doing an engagement session in Utah — a sense of adventure and a willingness to have fun!

Engagement session in Park City, Utah mountains

The weather was perfect that evening — crisp mountain air, golden sunlight streaming through the aspens, and just enough of a breeze to give movement to the photos. The weather forecasted rain, but we only got a little sprinkle. The clouds kept moving so we got a good mix of cloudy and moody photos and golden hour, sun ray photos. We started their Park City engagement session at one of my favorite spots that is close to the city and has a great mountain view. It’s one of those spots that always looks beautiful— layers of mountains fading into the distance, and during fall, the hillsides glow with yellows, oranges, and deep greens. In the summer the hills and aspens are full of green. We wandered around a field with a patch of golden aspens, and literally every direction we looked could have been a postcard.

One of my favorite things about being a Utah engagement photographer is meeting couples from out of state who are experiencing the mountains for the first time. For locals, it’s easy to forget how amazing these landscapes really are — but seeing Utah through fresh eyes always reminds me how lucky I am to call this place home.

What I love most about engagement photos in the Utah mountains is that they’re not just about the pictures — they’re about the experience. You’re able to slow down, listen to nature, explore somewhere beautiful, and create memories together.

If you’re thinking about booking your own Utah couples session, here’s my advice: just do it. Don’t overthink it and don’t wait for the “perfect” time of year — because every season here is stunning.

  • Spring brings bright greens and wildflowers in the valleys.

  • Summer gives us warm evenings and dreamy golden light.

  • Fall (like this session!) is all about rich colors and cozy vibes.

  • And winter turns everything into a snowy wonderland — perfect for those cozy, romantic photos.

No matter when you visit, the mountains always deliver.

And don’t worry if you’re not used to being in front of the camera — most of my couples aren’t! My sessions are relaxed and natural. I’ll guide you through poses that feel authentic while also giving you space for those genuine, candid moments. The best photos always come from real connection — the laughs, the little glances, the way you naturally fit together.

Once the sun dipped behind the peaks at the end of our session, the sky turned a moody blue and gray. It was quiet, peaceful, and the perfect ending to such a fun session.

If you’re planning a trip to Park City, Salt Lake City, or anywhere in Utah and you’ve been dreaming of a mountain engagement session, this is your sign. Let’s make it happen! I’d love to help you plan the perfect shoot — whether that’s a cozy mountaintop moment, a lakeside adventure, or a golden canyon sunset.

Reach out, and let’s create something that feels like you. You bring the love story, I’ll bring the camera and guide you through the whole thing — and together we’ll create photos that you love!
