Samuel H. Boardman State Scenic Corridor Elopement

Samuel H. Boardman Scenic Corridor is one the most beautiful places along the Oregon coast if you ask me! The northern Oregon coast is one of my favorite places, don’t get me wrong. But the great thing about Samuel H. Boardman is that it’s farther away from any big cities and so it’s less well known. And MAN is it stunning. There are so many hidden gems on the beach along the corridor that you can hike down to.

C & C grew up in a small town where they knew each other growing up, started dating, and decided to elope on the beautiful southern Oregon coast, just the two of them. I love how C chose a black dress because it stands out so well against the rocky shore and the water. I’m all about couples doing things their way. It’s YOUR day, no one else’s. The great thing about elopements is that YOU get to choose what you do with your day. You can throw out any traditions you don’t like, keep any traditions you do like, and come up with your own ideas and your own new traditions!

We woke up at 4:30 am to get to this secluded little beach before sunrise. It’s about a 10 minute hike down from the road. It was a little muddy and slippery but not bad to hike in! The morning was a little chilly but honestly I’m a sucker for cool Oregon weather. We had the whole beach to ourselves all morning while they said their vows on a cliff, ran around the beach, and dipped their toes in the water.

If you’re thinking of eloping, whether you want it to be just you & your boo thang or your closest friends and family to join you, I’d love to help you plan and be there to document the whole thing! The Oregon coast has my heart and I’ve spent a LOT of time there, exploring and finding new beautiful places.
