Everything You Need to Know About Eloping in Zion National Park

Zion National Park in Utah is an excellent place to elope! With gorgeous scenery and plenty of activities, an unforgettable experience awaits you and your lover at this perfect Utah elopement location. Here is everything you need to know when eloping in Zion National Park.

WHAT TO DO DURING ELOPEMENT
If you are an active, adventurous couple you will love Zion! There are a ton of fun hikes to do. These hikes have spectacular views and heights include Angels Landing, Canyon Overlook Trail, and Observation Point. If you are wanting a hike more up in the mountains with freshwater, Emerald Pools is the way to go. The Subway is a unique hike that winds through a slot canyon and even has a spot that requires repelling for those that are extra adventurous.

WHEN TO DO ELOPEMENT
To avoid large crowds, try going in the middle of the week, during sunrise, or in the off-season, which is September - April. Keep in mind you will need a permit, which is $100 and can be found here. There are specific locations in the park you can do the actual ceremony, but you can do portraits anywhere in the park!

WHERE TO EAT AND STAY
There are plenty of great places to stay and eat in Springdale, Utah, which is a whopping 4-minute shuttle ride from Zion. Four of my favorite places to eat are Bit & Spur Restaurant & Saloon, Jacks Sports Bar, MeMe's Cafe, and Zion Pizza & Noodle Co. Each is unique with different atmospheres, but all have excellent food! The best places to stay include Majestic View Lodge, Bumbleberry Inn, and La Quinta Inn & Suites. You really can't go wrong when booking your stay at Zion.

ADDITIONAL THINGS TO DO
In addition to all the fun that can be had in Zion National Park, there are plenty of other excellent locations nearby. Hike the lava tube caves nearby at Snow Canyon. Go to Red Cliffs and hike over a gorgeous waterfall. Water ski at Lake Powell or see the Grand Canyon near Kanab. Go cliff jump at Sand Hollow and play in the sand at Coral Pink Sand Dunes. Additionally, there are some unique locations in St. George Utah including the Judd General Store which is a candy store that has been open since 1911.

Zion’s National Park is truly an incredible place to visit and a perfect place for an elopement! You won’t be short on wild adventures, good food, and gorgeous photos!
