Cape Kiwanda, Oregon Coast Engagements [Oregon Elopement Photographer]

Madison & Jake recently moved to Portland, Oregon from Texas. They have been trying to get to know their new state and so we did a couples shoot at Cape Kiwanda in Pacific City, Oregon. It’s one of my favorite places on the Oregon coast. There’s a ton of stuff do just on the beach. Lots of people will do fires with hot dogs and s’mores on the beach while watching surfers in the water. There’s a huge sand dune you can hike up and you’ll have an amazing view of the coast both north and south. You can go explore the cliffs and see a hidden cave with waves crashing into it. There’s a huge sea stack (the second Haystack Rock) further out in the water that is really cool. It’s such a great place for photos because you get so much variety in one place! And I’ll never get tired of taking photos on the beach.

The other great thing about Cape Kiwanda is it’s close to so many other famous place along the Oregon Coast. It’s about a half hour from the famous Tillamook Cheese Factory, where you can pick up lunch or ice cream and some cheese. As you continue to drive up the coast, you’ll hit Cape Mears, Hug Point, and Cannon Beach, all iconic places on the Oregon coast and fun places to explore. .
